The ultimate picnic food. Or tea party food. Or both!
Ingredients:
- Bread
- Cucumber
- Cream Cheese
- Mayo
- Dill
- Dijon Mustard (optional)
- lemon juice (optional)
- Chop cucumber into thin slices
- You can choose to cut off the crust on your bread and then toast the pieces (not too much). I toasted + cut them here but usually prefer to not cut/toast because it’s easier and tastes the same.
- Mix ingredients for sauce – equal parts mayo and cream cheese. Add some dill (depending on how dilly you want it) and a few squirts of lemon juice. (its probably better to use fresh dill but I didn’t want to deal with it going bad so I just bought dill seed)
- Only add a tiny tiny bit of dijon mustard if you choose to. Sometimes I prefer not adding it but I have this whole jar and I need to use it in stuff.
Yeah. That’s all. It’s easy and I normally don’t like cucumber but I like eating them in these sandwiches.
Yum! Seems like a perfect summertime sammie. 🥪
